World of Sorrows for flute septet and piano

$11.00

World of Sorrows is a musical elegy for all lives lost worldwide during the 2020’s pandemic. It is written in a simple format that gives all the flute parts opportunities to voice their feelings over a solemn piano baseline and the contrasting piccolo’s mournful high notes. A meditative chorale is played by flutes alone shortly before the end, starting and ending with bell-like sounds from the piano. The composer clearly expresses his deep sorrow for the way the virus impacted the world’s populations.
