Three Trios, Op 22, for flute, violin, and cello

$20.00

Think what life would have been for any of us if we had been born in the eighteenth century.

Christian Ludwig Dietter was an exact contemporary of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart – but with none of Mozart’s advantages. He was the son of a soldier, who became an orphan at the age of twelve. He was educated in a military orphanage, and trapped in a life of involuntary servitude.

It’s not only the quality of his music that is amazing, but that any of it found its way into print. These six trios (three published as Opus 21 and Opus 22) show that indeed, there was musical life outside of Vienna!
