Nocturne Op 32 No 1 for flute quintet

$9.00

Chopin’s Nocturne #1, from Opus 32, is one of his prettiest. It has a lovely melody with a bit of mysterious harmony suggesting nighttime, while musically describing a good day’s end. The bass flute part would work well doubled by contrabass flute, as Chopin loved his low piano octaves. The tempo is moderate, with a bit of a dance quality, not meant to drag. Other than keeping ornamentation rhythmically together, there are no major technical issues.
