This short arrangement is intended for a “closer” or encore. It can be repeated if necessary to increase its length. The 1st & 3rd parts are very simple, and 2nd & 4th (or bass) are of moderate difficulty. The song itself , derived from 19th century hymns, portrays events from the Book of Revelation – eclipses of the Sun and Moon, trumpet of Archangel Gabriel, stars fall from the sky, horsemen ride, fire, drums, revelation, etc. The hymns express the wish to go to Heaven, picturing the saints marching through the Pearly Gates on Judgment Day.
