Venetian Boat Song No 2 for flute quintet

This Venetian Boat Song, from Mendelssohn’s Songs Without Words, is moody without being melancholy. Flutes do an excellent job of depicting the shimmering, shivery sliding of a small boat in a fog, with gliding wavelets near the shore. There are no technical issues, there is nice balance between the parts, and soft tongues should be utilized where indicated.
