Spooky Action at a Distance for clarinet ensemble

$9.00

This spooky quartet was written for an informal Halloween program, and is named after a famous quote from Albert Einstein in which he derisively characterized the newly developed theory of particle physics of the 1930s as nothing more than “Spooky Action at a Distance.”

The bass clarinet begins with a staccato figure as a framework. The three Bbs take turns interacting with each other in various ways with increasing tension until a harmonious resolution is achieved. The conceptual structure of the piece is described in performance notes, which are provided.
