Silent Midnight for flute sextet

“Silent Night”, by Franz Gruber, is one of our most dear Christmas carols, as based on the story of the birth of Christ as found in Luke 2:8-14.

This arrangement merges it with a Chinese folk tune by Chi-fang Liang, “Midnight Stars Make Bright the Sky”. Thus we have a refreshing blend of two different traditions.
