Serenade Sextet, Op 34 for flute and string orchestra

$22.00

This piece was commissioned in the 1880s by flutist Eugene Weiner for his New York Philharmonic Club Sextet.

The opening movement is broad and expansive. The slow movement is a beautiful elegy. The Intermezzo has some lovely writing for flute with pizzicato strings, and the finale is a real workout.
