Pictures at an Exhibition – Gnomus for flute quintet

$8.00

Mussorgsky’s famous cycle of musical gems depicts diverse movements with promenades in between. The first promenade is the entrance into the museum, where the pictures are exhibited. As we enter the hall in a good mood, we meet at first the image of a dwarf which is actually more a demon than a children’s toy. He looks a bit crippled and seems to jump up and down, murmuring something in an unknown language. This is musically challenging because of the sudden tempo changes, but the fun is guaranteed!
