Minuet, Op 10, No 3 for flute sextet

This minuet of Ludwig van Beethoven‘s is a cheerful confection that bounces along from start to finish. Minuets of the day were typically court dances. This one is quite polished, while adding a nice touch of ornamentation that interferes not at all with the sunny melodic line. As arranged for flute choir, it provides all parts, from the piccolo down to the bass, with prominence at some time during the piece.
