Lyric Pieces for flute ensemble

Little Bird, Solitary Traveler, and March of the Dwarfs are three of the most popular movements from Grieg’s charming piano compositions. (They encompass ten volumes which he wrote over a span of 34 years.)

These character pieces move from the trills and frills of bird flight, through the melancholy lonely traveler, and culminate with the silly energetic marching of dwarfs. There are two piccolos in the first movement, an optional E-flat flute in the 2nd, and all of them have alto and bass flute parts.
