Largo Appassionato Op 2 No 2 for flute sextet

$10.00

Beethoven‘s grand sonata, the second in Opus 2, presents an achingly heartfelt middle movement indicated by the tempo and style markings “Largo Appassionato”. Originally for piano, it adapts well for flute ensemble. The tempo here is not too slow, allowing sensuous flow throughout. This arrangement, with all parts having interesting passages, was designed to work well with a quintet bounded by the bass flute, and includes an optional contrabass flute part as well.
