Largo Appassionata, Op 7 for flute sextet

$12.00

This piece is the expressive middle movement of one of Ludwig van Beethoven‘s “Grand Sonatas” for piano. As arranged for flutes, it emphasizes the lower octaves sonority of the C, alto, and bass flutes. Piccolo is used sparingly within the first flute part for emphatic ornamentation. Staccatos are not dry, slurs assist the flow, and dynamics are dramatic. Rhythm should be carefully accurate. In a compact three-and-a-half minutes, it emotes the pathos and drama characteristic of the composer.
