“Hark the Herald Angels Sing” is an historic Christmas hymn arranged for 3 C flutes. It is written to follow the original sound of this traditional hymn but with a fresh introduction and arrangement. All three Flute parts are of prime importance. The 1st Flute part carries the melody while the 2nd and 3rd parts intertwine harmonic movement.
It begins in the key of G and modulates into the key of F and has an elongated ending with a driving 3rd Flute part. It can be played as a concert piece or as accompaniment for a congregational hymn.
