Gavotte Rondo for flute sextet

$11.00

The Gavotte was a peasant dance that became popular in the French court. Johann Sebastian Bach wrote this Gavotte in the more formal Rondo style that maintains the lively vivacity of the original dance, while adding elegance. This arrangement adapts very well to a full flute choir. Not technically difficult, the articulation and dynamics are important for best effect, including the tiny “explosions” of the frequent sforzandos.
