Four Lieder “The Traveler” for flute and strings

$21.00

This is the year of Franz Schubert. These four pieces were written originally for a lyric singer accompanied by the piano. They are very tender and emotional songs that narrate the dreams and thoughts of a romantic traveling man. The conservatory invited Denis Barbier to arrange them for a flute ensemble to be performed at “La Folle Journee”. They are simple and pleasant to perform for both flutists and cellists. The addition of a double bass provides a more symphonic sensation and makes the tempo easier. Their individual names: Wandrers Nachtlied (D224), Der Wanderer (D489), Der Wanderer an den Mond (D870), and Wandrers Nachtlied (D768).
