Der Traum (the dream) for flute trio

Der Traum by Franz Schubert is an excellent piece to develop musicality. The two C flutes carry the melody for half of the composition each, while the alto flute provides a supportive harmony. Traditional 6/8 rhythmic patterns prevail and should be carefully parallel. There are a few ritards and dynamic changes that add to the experience, as being performed well by the trio members and appreciated by the audience.
