Dawn of a New Day for flute octet

$14.00

Motifs, harmonies, and dynamics of this piece are layered throughout to describe the changing colors of dawn after the darkness of night. It describes the joy of the light of day after a restless night; rejoicing in a new day of endless possibilities. It may also reflect on returning to normalcy after a hard period in our lives. This piece is best rendered by a large ensemble, with flutes 1, 2, and 3 on the left and flutes 4 and 5 on the right. Alto and bass flutes should be centered, as they support both sides. Another enhancement would be to accompany the music by a show of lights changing from dark to full light, following the colors of dawn.
