Arrival of the Queen of Sheba for flute quintet

$13.00

This short and lively instrumental Allegro that begins Act III of Handel’s oratorio “Solomon” (originally scored in 1749 for two oboes and strings) has become enormously famous outside the context of the complete work. This arrangement for flute ensemble needs a minimum of 3 C flute players, 2 alto flute players, 2 bass flute players, and 1 contrabass flute player. The more the better! There are several short solo passages in some of the parts that may be shared amongst the ensemble. Enjoy this grand processional!
