A Serenade to Love for flute sextet

$10.00

This serenade is not in the style of a typical Baroque serenade, but rather evokes the love songs played and sung by young men under the windows of their lady loves. While living in Puerto Rico in the 1960’s, the composer initiated several such serenades. He wrote this piece in 1969 before serving in the U.S. Army and being in combat in Vietnam. The melody accompanied him and his wife, Irma, during that year of separation. He has dedicated this lovely composition to her as a pure song of love unending, a promise of love for life.
