12 Vocalises for flute, Vol. 3

This Volume No. 3 is designed to complement the previous two. It contains extended exercises to work on technique, quality of sound, improvisation, and ear training. More musical than scales, more organized than traditional studies, the Vocalises go through all the keys in the same exercise. Designed to be fun to play, they prompt progress without suffering and will enrich the melodic vocabulary for flute players who like to improvise. Sometimes they are based on musical phrases from famous composers, but they transpose in all keys in order to acquire, while having the pleasure to interpret a beautiful melody, a more faithful ear and a more accurate control of the breath.
