Reise-Galopp Op 85 for flute quintet

This is a very popular ballroom dance by Johann Strauss, senior (1804-1849). It reflects the arduous and bumpy stagecoach rides his chamber orchestra (10-15 strings) experienced during their 1836 tours of Germany. It can be played as a quintet as well as a flute choir and supplements a charming program or could be played as an encore.
